
It has been 18 weeks since I applied, and it's still not showing up in their system! Seriously, what is the deal with these people? I am not at all happy here. This blog is supposed to be a positive place and see where they are making me go? 18 weeks! Everything says routine service is between 10-12 weeks. I'm at almost double that time!
-You can go online and check the status...'Record not found'
-You can submit your email address, last name, birthday and last 4 digits of your social to be a 7-10 reply on your status. I've done that every week for the past 5 weeks - no response.
-You can submit all the information about where you applied, when you applied, your travel date, your email addy, your full name, birth date, 4 digits of social and phone number for a 24-48 hour reply by email or phone which I have done atleast 2 weeks ago and again today - no response.
-You can call on the phone if you have 20 minutes to spare, jump through automated hoops and FINALLY get to speak to a real person, and the only thing they have to say is, our system is down and you should wait to call back until you are 2 weeks from your travel date.
I've decided, it's unobtainable. The website actually has the gall to say, 'Our goal is to make sure that no one misses a trip. We have added staff and are working overtime across the country.' Obviously, they should HIRE MORE PEOPLE! There are certainly enough people who are unemployed these days!
Hate to tell you this, but the passport system is notorious for being poorly run and painfully inadequate.

ReplyDeleteWell, I've just taken this situation into my own hands...I've gone to a place I don't wanna go, but let's just say, I should have it in a few short days now. Curses!!!
