Let's talk body wash!
Since I was a child, I've used the same bar soap. A couple of years ago, I switched from that same Coast brand over to Dove body bars for the added moisturizing. I have used the occasional body wash here and there....for convenience or at a friend's house. I am also a big fan of Bath and Body Works products...they just smell amazing! There was a sale and I picked up a couple of their body washes and I love them!!!
Going forward, I'd like to get some feedback on what brands of body wash you prefer? Sometimes like in outdoor rugs or say, hangers...name brands don't really come into play much, but I figure with something like this it's good to get other opinions on brands. Which ones do you prefer for scent, for lathering qualities or hey, the all important 'bang for your buck' factor. Let's face it, Bath and Body Works sure smells nice but it'll break your wallet (even with a sale!) for as much as you get in that small bottle. So, spill it, what do you prefer?

Summer, it is a comin'
Summer is quickly approaching and I'm regretting more and more, not making good use of this late winter/early spring time to take off a few pounds. I was so cozy, layered in my winter garb that I wasn't remembering that feeling of 'nakedness' I get when I begin to go out in the world with no coat or jacket or sweater to hide behind.
Unfortunately, I don't even think the best diet pills would help me shed the pounds at this point because spring is sprung and summer is knocking at the door! I am out of time! Shoot....guess I'll have to move to Alaska so I can hide behind my sweaters LOL

Miche Bag Rep Con in KC
A couple of months ago I was introduced to Miche Bags and instantly was interested in selling them. That doesn't happen often, let me tell ya! I suppose I was already 'in the market' to find a home based business to give me an opportunity to make money in my off work time. Home party businesses can be great but also can be aggravating. I mean, you really are relying on whether or not other people want to host a party at their house and if people like the products and want or even can afford to buy them.
Miche Bags are such a great novel idea and if it was new to me, it's new in my area! The concept is, you buy a base and then get different 'shells' to change the outside look! I'm a big fan of the Big Bag, myself but the classic size is most popular and has the most shells to choose from. So far I have had an open house for myself and 2 of my bestest friends have offered to host parties for me which have added 2 more bookings so far! I've decided to take an extremely laid back approach to the entire concept. I mean, the purses literally sell themselves once the ladies have access to playing with them.
Saturday, April 10, 2010, there is a Miche Bag sales rep conference in Kansas City, Mo and I will be on my way as soon as I leave work today! The Lord blessed me with the opportunity to work a double shift last Saturday at my second job, giving me the funds to secure a hotel room near the city (cheaper that way!) so I wouldn't have to leave St. Louis at like 2 am and try and catch some ZZzzzs in my car before it started at 8 am tomorrow. Of course I could have used that unbudgeted windfall for things like diet supplements or paying down my debt....but I think this is a good use of the money, too. I'll let you all know what fun things I learn at the conference!

I got my Facebook back!
Over the past, oh I don't know....year or so, I have been increasingly involved in a Facebook game called Mafia Wars. Stop me if you've heard someone say this before but it went from a casual enjoyment to a full on obsession!! To be honest, it was getting to the point of jeopardizing my job because I was not getting my work completed to the best of my abilities. For shame!!!
But how do you 'get out' when you are a made lady? I mean I was a tagged player with an elite all woman's fighting group who gifted me much loot and bang bangs to make me a strong player for when we would be at war with another tagged group. The {PD-KTB} really put a lot into me and I enjoyed my squad, The Sirens. Interacting within the group was/is so much fun!
The reason I decided this week to leave the game...was the game itself. Zynga must have had 4,000,000 people working on this thing to come up with SO MANY aspects of play that just to touch base on some of them, took all day long, literally! In the end, I had taken on over 800 'friends' and my wall was so clouded with Mafia Wars stream posts that it was impossible for me to even find any legitimate posts from my friends and family. Facebook was no longer Facebook, it was the website I played Mafia Wars on. I spent so much time 'working' the game, I couldn't even have researched gmat prep courses if I wanted to! No, if I was online I was involved with some aspect of Mafia Wars.
In an effort to be a better steward of my resource of time, I am leaving Mafia Wars for good. I have spent a considerable amount of time this week, gifting back tons of loot and bang bangs to a couple of friends and the rest all went back to the girls of The Sirens. I also unloaded over 800 unnecessary 'friends' from my profile! I really did enjoy the game until it became work and that wasn't fun anymore. I love the Sirens and everyone else in the PDs and KTB! I wish you all luck and try not to let it get the best of you :) Now, I finally have my Facebook back!!!

It hasn't been *that* hot yet...
Casting Crowns Concert-Tonight!
I'm so excited, I'm soooo excited!!! I have loved this band since the very first time I ever heard the first song. Over the years, they have repeatedly blown me away with their albums. From Christmas songs to worship songs...they do it all! And they do it oh so well! Their latest album is called Until The Whole World Hears and there's a song on it with the same title that's very good. It's growing into another favorite of mine :)
I'm just so excited because I'm going with friends from church and I've never seen Casting Crowns in concert before. Busy brides, put down your wedding favors, waitresses put down your trays and make your way to the St. Charles Family Arena for the Casting Crowns show tonight!

Seriously disgusting!
Want to know what disgusting taste I'm currently experiencing? No, there wasn't a sale on day old fruit. I'm about to throw up from the taste of my eye drops!!
Yes, you heard me right, the eye drops I just started have an aftertaste...you know all these things are connected. I didn't realize you could taste something that was in your eye but hey, they say you learn something new every day. Bleh.... My spoonful of peanut butter isn't helping. I can still taste it! :(
These are not my eyes obviously, I am not a dude. But this is a great representation of what my eyes are looking like right now. The drops offering the foul tasting backlash are dilation drops. Inflammation in my right eye has caused a myriad of issues including my iris being stuck closed...resulting in the need to jerk it back open with dilation drops. I have a way to go but atleast I don't have a half moon pupil anymore. More to come on the eye issues.

Blogging is old news, really?
I was interviewed by Tim Barker, a writer from stltoday.com. The article titled "Still blogging? FYI: It's old news" was written discussing how 'young people' have abandoned blogging for social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and Myspace. Although I was well out of the 'younger generation of bloggers' he was looking to interview, we spoke at length about many things. It's always very interesting to me to read what someone gleans from a conversation. You'll have to read down to the last 2 paragraphs of the article to find where I'm mentioned.
BeccA's Buzz, by the way, is the blog I referred to as a 'big ol' bowl of soup in terms of content.' You know me, I could be talking about taking a trip or incontinence products or heck, maybe both at the same time! At any rate, I don't plan to stop blogging...not anytime soon. So you young people can do whatcha like creating and following all the newest trends but my blog and I will be chatting it up for a long, long time. Oops, I said 'you young people'....spoken like a true old person! LOL

R.I.P. Aunt Vera
My father's sister Vera passed away yesterday. My heart goes out to my cousins for the loss of their mom. Also to my grandmother, this is the second child for her to bury in less than 4 months.
Makes you stop and think about things...like family and goals....even whole life insurance or term, whichever suits your needs. Today is my dad's birthday and I'm sure he's thinking about these things considering this is his second sibling to pass in less than 4 months. Hmm....spend time with those you love while you still can. That's all I have to say about that.

Getting caught up
It feels so good to get caught up on paperwork! I just started a new business (more on that later) and it was surprising to me to see how quickly the receipts piled up! I have worked in accounting for the past 12 years and so I have a clue or two about how to manage the money and keep good track of the expenses & income.
I just created a wonderful spreadsheet that will do all those things for me! All I have to do now, is keep up with the data entry as it happens. Sounds easy enough but for me "Queen Procrastinator" I have a tendency to let things go because I can't do it 100% the way I think in my head it HAS to be done so things go undone largely around me.
Now I have time to do other things! Like shop for allergy bedding or go for a walk along the beach. Wait, I live in Mid America, there are no good beaches here! :)

Highway 40 is open!
I must have missed the announcement that the construction on Highway 40 in St. Louis was completed and open for commuting since before Christmas of 2009! Taking 40 is a seemingly much more direct route to my second job, so the other night after hearing the good news at work, I decided to go home through that way to see how much faster it might be for me. Overall, I'd say I am impressed with the work they've done. What an extremely smooth road surface they have achieved!! I mean, it was so smooth I *almost* forgot I was driving a couple of times!! 'Thumbs up' boys for functionality!
As for style...only a 'Meh.' Of course, after having traveled in several cities across America, I can definitely see areas that were suffering a loss of creativity. I'm thinking immediately of the fantastically decorative overpasses in Dallas, Texas I saw last November...

Or how about these earthen colored overpasses in Albuquerque, New Mexico? Most likely they used local materials for these jobs. It's fitting for the region and a welcome sight to these St. Louis eyes!
Unfortunately we were left with ordinary concrete overpasses and another opportunity to show some local love and hometown pride has gone down the drain. Maybe we should have given the designers a bit of a testosterone booster and atleast gotten some animals near the Zoo or *something*!

Seeing 20/20 - Not!
I've been having some right eye vision issues lately. For the past week or so, I've had a light sensitivity and everything is blurred & white-washed. Let's just say, it's a good thing I'm not an energy auditor, precision is not my friend these days!
So I went to the eye doctor yesterday and he said I have white blood cells in my eye. Also he said this is a symptom from some other issue going on in my body and that in a week, if it's not better I need to seek blood work from my primary care Dr. to find out what's going on. In the meantime, I give myself milky eye drops every 4 hours. Keep me in your prayers!!

Crush alert: Anthony Bourdain
It's true...a bit of a dirty little secret I have to admit but lately I've just had a *thing* for Anthony Bourdain! I mean, hello, he's tall and he makes dang good money by traveling around the entire world EATING for goodness sakes.
How have I managed to miss his show called "No Reservations" all these years? There's just something intriguing about the rise and fall of his voice as he narrates. He's also a writer, which is hot. Of course he has a serious potty mouth and some of the things he eats, I would die before putting in my mouth, but based on sound alone though, I think he could even make diet supplement reviews sound interesting. I like that he searches for more than just cuisine from the locations he visits. I felt happy for him on the episode where he FINALLY got his shellfish tower LOL Anthony, slice me off a piece of whatever you are serving!

Blog neglect!
This poor blog, it's suffering from a serious case of neglect...by me! I have a ton of ideas in my head for stories I'll be getting to very shortly. That is if I can read my own writing from the scratch notes I jotted down while driving!
Don't expect any alli reviews but I may mention some weight loss issues here and there that I've been tossing around in my head. That's part of the problem, the ideas are in my head and I need to get them out put into action.
So for now, BeccA's Buzz, please accept my humble apologies. I promise to pick up my pace and prioritize my time to include a visit to you as often as I can from here on out! *>*>Hugs<*<*

Back to school?
I've spoken recently about my need to find a new career. I was never one for school much, had a hard time transitioning from private school back into public school which ultimately contributed to the demise of my scholastic career in my Junior year of high school. Sigh...
I do regret not finishing high school even though I did get my G.E.D. about 2 months before I would have graduated. Still, that G.E.D. never offers me an invitation to a class reunion :(
Speaking of higher education, I have dabbled around it a few times. I took a Certified Nurses Assistant course at the local community college and worked in that field for a few short years. Later, I took Accounting 101 at a different branch of the local area community college and finished at the top of my class! Of course, my prior on the job experience in the field added to my success.
Thinking about changing or adding to my current career in the Accounting and Payroll field, I'm not sure how I feel about online business administration degrees. I think I need to do a bit more research. Obvious questions keep popping up in my mind. Having no face to face contact with your instructor seems a bit odd. If you have to ask questions, do you just email? Now we are relying on our skills to communicate our needs or questions via written word as well as interpret a response accordingly. Still, when I have ventured out into the job pool at various times over the past few years, a lack of a degree of some kind was a thorn on my resume. I have known several people who have had great success with online classes! Perhaps I should consider and reconsider my options and take a class or two from an accredited online college. I'll keep you updated!

Blog neglect
This blog is suffering from some SERIOUS neglect. I'm surprised the blog-police haven't been around to arrest me yet!
Sometimes, life gets in the way and before you know it, it's been a week since you've done something you normally do everyday! Many things have gone by the wayside the past few weeks, not just my blog. Things around the house like dishes and straightening up...which all comes before the actual cleaning of anything. It's that busy time of year at my main job right now, tax season!
Soon though, things will begin to move back to a normal pace and I may even be looking for a new place to live. So I won't be as concerned with straightening up as I will with boxing things up! :) Hopefully that will mean I am moving on up. I have a few ideas in mind but for now, I am praying about the situation and waiting on the Lord. It's a big decision to move and it hits me about every 5 or so years. So hopefully wherever I end up this next time, I will be able to stay for a while. Then I will need to start considering some new careers because I won't want to keep working 2 jobs just to keep my head above water, like I do now. If I'm working 2 jobs, it will be to get ahead!! So we'll see. In the meantime, I have several blog posts stewing in my mind so stay tuned!!

Light at the end of the tunnel
I think it's been a while since I've played this video I created. Enjoy!
Cheating on my mind...
There are 2 people I know right now who are potentially cheating on their spouse or with someone who has a spouse. No wait, did I say *think*? I'm sorry, I totally meant, I pretty much know it's happening! They bring the person out into social situations and/or discuss their marital unhappiness publicly! UGH, I'm all discouraged and let down and disappointed and aggravated and on and on. I never thought they would be the kind of people who would do this. The saddest part is, they are not even trying to hide it really, as if nothing is the matter with it.
And now I'm drinking a Pepsi! See, it's spreading...I'm a loyal Coca Cola drinker! I want to run away and escape...perhaps I'll go in search of some good deals on Toronto hotels for the weekend.

Decline of Intelligenz....
I don't know if you have noticed this in your world...but it seems to me that there is a significant decline of intelligence these days. Now, I won't pretend to be smarter than a fifth grader because let's face it, I have forgotten more than I remember from that era of my life!
I have noticed that, basic rules from spelling and English language skills seem to be harder and harder to see. Texting and Instant Messaging lingo has slipped in and no one seems to care that today's youth uses such bad grammar!! The saddest part is to see adults who *should* know better sliding off that slope with the rest of them. Now it is moving beyond text and IM, here's one tiny example I took straight from a Facebook comment: "HOORAY WHERE BACK ON BUSINESS!" First of all, the saying is "We're back in business." Where is a place and since when is anyone ON business?? Oy vay!!
Chatsling, Netlingo and all the other Text lingos are sometimes hard to interpret as well. For some great online helps, try Teenangels. They offer a variety of helps by teens to parents and teachers for things like cyberbullying, game ratings and much, much more. Did I mention it was free info??
Parents, please have a discussion with your children about these things. Help them with their language and English skills around the house...don't ever give up! Sure itz fun 2 b cre8ive & all dat just try to incorporate some good grammar when you can. Don't rely on the
Ok, now you can go back to researching life insurance quotes or whatever else you do online...
