Give Me Five Monday Meme #51

Monday, September 14, 2009

The 'Give Me Five' Monday meme is designed to share fun information with each other in a simple short list! Here's how it works. Each week, I will put out a random topic from my list of topics and you share 5 answers of your choice on the given topic and link back here! You can add photos, links or stories or just a simple list of your own of 5 things that relate to the topic as it pertains to you and your life experiences. It doesn't have to be in any order of importance unless otherwise specified.

Give Me Five of your favorite ways to be crafty or creative.

1. I love to cook! Can't wait to get my hands juicy and hear that sizzle.
2. Scrapbooking, I love to be creative showing off my pictures.
3. Photography. I've always enjoyed taking pictures of .... well, everything!
4. Crocheting. I'm just getting into it and I'm already creating my own patterns.
5. Various sewing projects. I think it's a lost art, not many of my friends know their way around a sewing machine, sad.

So, how about you? What crafts and crea-tivities do you enjoy?

I like your list, we share a few of the same. I have always wanted to learn how to crochet, is it hard?

Pheonix, I don't think it is. It does require good hand dexterity. You just have to feed the yarn through one hand and then use the hook with the other to loop the yarn through itself in varying ways...depending on what you are making and that's it! :) You should check your local craft stores for classes or ask around. It's pretty easy to learn and once you do, you have a wonderful craft that can be taken anywhere...except an airplane LOL Which, by the way is the *PERFECT* place to crochet!

I am a picture happy person. I love taking pictures. I am never in them really as I am always taking them. LOL I have so many pictures I need to develop. I too love to cook.

I agree. Crochet is really quite easy. It just takes a little practice to be comfortable with it. My 12 year old granddaughter asked to be taught both knitting and crocheting this summer. She likes crochet more because you see results more quickly.

I didn't put photography on my list, but I do love taking pictures. My problem is that I have a familial tremor (not Parkinson's) and sometimes my pics are a little blurred.

I'm loving your topics. And I'm very glad you started this up again. Thanks, Bekka!

Hi! I just found your meme last week and decided to join in. I don't feel like a very crafty person, but I managed to pull out 5 things to list anyway!!

I like those ways to be crafty! In response to your question, I'm not blogging about the Beth Moore study I'm doing. I hadn't thought of that. It's a great idea! But, like you said, there's a lot of homework, plus my job and family, I don't think I have time. But what a fabulous idea!
