That is a wonderful view. Another WW blogger has a similar view looking up at part of a castle. (I forgot where it was, however)
Acutally, it was taken at the site of an old girls school/home that has only walls and the bottom floor remaining. The school is in Ellicot City, Maryland and my dear friend Amelia held her wedding here. The building, what's left of it, is basically only walls! This is a shot looking skyward on the columns that used to hold up the front porch. As you can see, they simply hold up the sky now!
Wow! What a great shot. :)I love that photo. The colors are so alive. Thanks for stopping by my ww today.
great perspective!smiles, bee
great shot! Happy WW!!
Great shot and perspective. BTW, I have been to Ellicot City several times and my bro lives close.
It's a quaint old town, fun shopping and a nice place to visit!
wonderful view!! great shot.
And here I was thinking they were the pillars of the community.
That's a great picture, much better with your explanation!Happy WW
Yes, someone once told me, that the idea behind 'Wordless Wednesday' was not to explain it, but I guess I chose a bad picture for that. I thought WW was to just show an interesting picture to provoke thought...thus the wordless part. But I see people post words with theirs all the time, so who knows.
