It's just not the same

Kinda like how your makeup never looks the same using your bathroom lights compared to going outside or in a club, shoveling snow is just not the same as playing in it!

As predicted, we received a few more inches of snow here in St. Louis for a total of about 8 inches or so. There was more, of course, in certain areas or where it drifted around but for the most part it was pretty deep. I live in an apartment, have for the past few years and normally the landlords would pay people to come out and take care of the snow but they never quite do a proper job so it looks like I need to buy a shovel to have of my own. That way I can at least dig out my car...as it turns out, a broom doesn't double as a shovel. 8-)

So my boss came in his Bronco and picked me up for work. I'd rather be out making a snowman or sledding down a hill somewhere! It's just not the same anymore to look forward to a heavy snow fall. Now I know why the adults used to complain about it when we all thought it totally rocked! Like a present from heaven above, no school and a chance at a beloved activity that rarely came around. Now all we do is worry about road conditions and complain about the aches and pains of shoveling it from one place to another! LOL

Ummmm....I don't see it but if someone else thinks there's one there, I shall *RUN* on over to Google Images and choose another one-immediately, if not sooner!!! I only chose this one cause I liked his red scarf! LOL

We have reached a milestone here in this St. Louis....the 2 oldest are old enough to shovel the drive and side walk...whoo hoo. Somehow tho, I think part of their childhood slipped away without them knowing it.

OH MY GOSH! That is a lot of snow. We had temps in the low 70s yesterday. I wouldn't know what to do if it snowed here, much less if it snowed like that.

We didn't get that much snow. But the plow decided to fill up the end of my driveway. My husband isn't home right now to get it cleared. So, there is a little path shoveled out to the road. Tomorrow, it's suppose to be 35*. Maybe the sun will shine really bright and some of it will melt.
